It is with deep sadness that
I read news reports about how prime minister YAB DS Najib Razak has not heeded
his deputy's call to axe the entire 1Malaysia Development Board and get a
police investigation going.
I completely support YAB TS Muhyiddin Yassin as I too believe this is the only action that would convince Malaysians that the government is serious.
For now YAB DS Najib is caught right in the middle of this financial mess amounting to alleged misappropriation of billions of dollars.
There is not a day that goes by without someone, be it an Opposition leader or the general public, registering their displeasure and anger against the prime minister.
As such YAB DS Najib has to immediately order that the entire board of the sovereign fund is sacked without any delay and then moot police investigations against them.
I have been voicing the same opinion as YAB TS Muhyiddin's over the past few weeks.
In addition to the board members, flamboyant businessman Low Taek Jho, popularly known as Jho Low, must also be investigated immediately by the police.
Despite his denials, Jho Low's fingerprints are all over the 1MDB, with proven paper trail showing movement of money into a company owned by him.
As mentioned earlier, there is a growing call for transparency and accountability by Malaysians to open up 1MDB's books.
And therefore we hope the prime minister will act fast to settle this issue once and for all.

We should also identify those con-sultant that are giving 'very good advices' to the top managements.
